ONE STEP CLOSER
For those of us who may be fasting, we are one step closer to completing our 21 day fast.  The challenge is to take it easy before delving into those things which we have given up for a period of time  during the first few weeks of January.  If we start to eat and drink everything in sight that we fasted, then our fasting is in vain.  What that means is that we have not done anything over the last 21 days except diet.  There is a huge difference between a diet and fasting.  Here are some tips on how to come out of a fast:
1.  Begin by consuming liquids into your diet.  This include water, coffee, teas, juices, and soups.  This
will also depend on what type of fast you were on.
2.  Close the fast with scripture reading and prayer.  Seal the deal.
3.  Introduce solid foods gradually on the second or third day after coming off of the fast.  Start with fruits,
some grains such as oatmeal or barley, eat food raw and in their natural state.
4.  By the fourth or fifth day you should be ready to introduce other foods that you fasted into your diet.
Remember to thank God for the fast and to ask Him what is the next step you should take.
