ADORATION
I know this is health and fitness blog spot, but we need to address love. The month of February will be a month filled with "Love" and hopefully some tips that can be applied in our own lives. The word adoration has Latin origins, go figure, and it mean to adore someone. It also mean to pay honor, as a divine being; worship. It can mean fervent and devoted love. Wow! With that said and done why don't we practice more adoration? Research has shown that people who love themselves also love other people. I am not talking about a self-centered love or a conceited love. I am talking about they love who they are and are happy with the way they look and their lives in general. Research has also found that when we love or have a love of something our mental health is better. Adoration is important when it comes to worshiping God too. We surrender to Him and want to get be close to Him in worship. We love Him so much that we sometimes cry and fall before Him. This is adoration. I don't know about some of you, but when I get that close to Him I do feel more adoration toward others. I also show adoration toward others without even thinking about it. I am happy and sometimes the happiness stays with me throughout the week. The mental state of the elderly seems to improve when someone shows them that they are loved and not for gotten. Blood pressure and other health problems seem to improve when people feel loved. Hmmm, I guess there is a method to adoration after all.
